The practice vision can only be achieved with a team that believes in that same vision. Every member of the M & M team has been picked because of their ability to understand and connect with both animals and humans.
Our team has a wealth of experience and each member is on hand to help whenever you need it.
CEO
Maximus
Max is our CEO and leads the team, making sure that everyone is on hand to make the pet's feel welcome and relaxed when they visit his surgery.

If he isn't happy he will make sure the team knows about it as he has a very loud voice!
Head of Product Testing
Minimus
Minnie heads our product testing department, making sure that every product is thoroughly tested before allowing the team to use them in the surgery.
​
She has also set up her own Pick 'n' Mix shop behind reception and makes sure the staff keep it topped up at all times.
Founder & Director
Anish Patel BVetMed MRCVS
Anish has over 10 years experience working in small animal practice and enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine. He particularly enjoys getting to know his patients and their owners allowing him to best understand their needs.
He also has two miniature dachshunds - Maximus and Minimus.
You will often see them at the office or on Instagram!

Kobi Shaltiel DVM MRCVS
Kobi has 15 years of experience as a vet working at Hertfordshire. He is a keen surgeon with extensive experience involving a practical and compassionate approach to both his patients and their owners

At home, he has a poodle dog called Wanda, a cat called Micky and Freddie the Tortoise.
Experienced Veterinary Surgeon
Ross Kitchen BSc BVetMed GpCert SAS MRCVS
Ross qualified as a vet in 2014 having previously graduated from Liverpool university with a degree in pharmacology.
He has extensive veterinary experience working in a small animal hospital for 9 years where he became a partner and completed a certificate in small animal surgery as well as completing a 1 year internship in small animal orthopaedics.
Outside of work he enjoys travelling with his wife and daughter, driving his classic car, playing tennis and walking his 2 lurchers Pepper Pot and Izzy B. As well as the dogs he has 5 chickens too!
New Veterinary Surgeon
Bonnie Cheung BA MSci VetMB MRCVS
Bonnie qualified as a vet in 2024 from University of Cambridge after previously graduating UCL with a degree in Natural Sciences. She also spent a year abroad in Canada as an exchange student at University of British Columbia during her first degree.

In her spare time, Bonnie likes to go fencing as well as take part in national competitions.
She is also fluent in Cantonese and is learning Japanese and Dutch!
Her interests are in both medicine and surgery and is dedicated to delivering the highest standards of care to our
patients.
Head Veterinary Nurse
Catherine Galea RVN
Cat loves all aspects of veterinary nursing and believes in treating all animals with the greatest of care.
She has previously worked in both charity and private hospitals leading to her adopting a 3-legged cat called Binx!

Cat has been instrumental in helping the practice obtain it's accreditations and is our go-to for all things 'cat'!

Experienced Veterinary Nurse
Tanya Rawlinson RVN
Tanya has a vast amount of experience in all areas of veterinary nursing but her favourite part is patient care as it allows her to bond with each individual patient.
​
She also has a passion for the smaller patients that we see at the practice.
​
At home, she has 2 cats - Diva and Bubbles who she adores!
Experienced Veterinary Nurse
Sophie Collett RVN
Sophie joined our team in December and has been nursing locally since 2010.
​
She particularly enjoys working with our smaller patients and wildlife, and has a special interest in radiography
​
At home she has a little dog called Maisie, a cat called Lottie & 2 guinea pigs.
​
In her spare time she has a passion for all things travel.
Veterinary Nurse
Rose Leahy
Rose was a previously qualified veterinary nurse before changing to a career in research.
She joined Max & Min to pursue her ambition to re-train and we are delighted to say she is now a fully qualified veterinary nurse again!

Rose is fantastic with patients and clients and helps with both nursing and customer support.
Rose is passionate about all animals and regularly helps to look after friends pets including dogs, horses, guinea pigs and chickens!
Lead Customer Support
Sarah Heath
Sarah loves helping people and their pets. She has fostered over 15 dogs and loves watching each dog's confidence and true personality reappear.

Her current family dog is Ziggy, who arrived in her house as a foster, but was just too lovely to let go!
​
Sarah has a lot of experience working with the public and with animals and will always be on hand to help when you need her.

Nikki Miller
Nikki joined the team in December 2023 and has over 10 years experience in customer service. She thrives in helping people and their pets and will always greet you with a smile!

At home, Nikki has a 10yo Cockapoo and enjoys spending time with him outdoors as well as helping to exercise horses in her spare time.

Emma Clayton
Emma has always had a love and passion for animals and began her animal work over 10 years ago. She lived in Australia for a few years where she spent some time studying animal care whilst continuing to work in the field.
She now has 4 rescue cats including a recent boisterous kitten addition.
She enjoys meeting all the pets that come in to the practice and hearing all the stories their owners have to share.

Julie Rowe
Julie is the newest member of the Max & Min team having joined us in March 2024.
Julie has a strong background working with the general public and her goal wass to change careers to combine helping people along with her love of animals.
Julie has a pet cat called Polo - or rather Polo has a servant named Julie!
